William (Bill) Lahey becomes new Chair of the Council of Nova Scotia University Presidents

HALIFAX, NS – Professor William (Bill) Lahey, President and Vice-Chancellor, University of King’s College, Halifax, NS, has been appointed Chair of the Council of Nova Scotia University Presidents (CONSUP).

Prof. Lahey follows Dr. Kent MacDonald, President, St. Francis Xavier University, Antigonish, NS.

CONSUP is an advocacy organization representing Nova Scotia’s ten universities across the province.

The AAU releases its Preliminary Enrolment Data

HALIFAX, NS – Universities across Atlantic Canada continue to defy demographic trends, reporting increased enrolments of full-time undergraduate and graduate students by 2.4% (+1,759) year-over-year.  Full-time undergraduate and graduate enrolment across the region’s 16 universities now totals 74,854.

The Association of Atlantic Universities (AAU) today released its 2018-19 Preliminary Enrolment Data.
